Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye was granted the 26th Aydın Doğan Award with the award ceremony held on Wednesday, November 2. In the statement of Aydın Doğan Foundation, it was noted that 'the artist Alev Ebüzziya was chosen as the award winner since she inspires the artists both in Turkey and across the world with her works which bear the traces of Turkey’s rich history and Anatolian civilizations, carry ritualistic marks in their colors, forms, and motifs and sets a model in the art of ceramics with the inspiration taken from the artist's roots and the unique, actual and timeless expression developed by her, and with her production that continues viably for over 60 years.'
